The FineTUNE® Tailored Control System (TCS) App is a specialized tool designed to facilitate the management of advanced features within the FineTUNE TCS platform. Its primary function is to enable users to create, edit, and organize various settings for different spaces within a building. The app permits the creation of named zones, programming hours of operation, and customizing system parameters for each designated space. Additionally, it supports the development of tunable white transition schedules or the utilization of pre-designed daylight and wellness schedules. To streamline workflows, a save-and-repeat feature has been incorporated, allowing users to replicate system configurations and color schedules across multiple spaces efficiently. Bluetooth connectivity within each controller enables an iOS device to seamlessly access these features, simplifying system adjustments in situ.

Organizational features such as space naming offer straightforward building management, facilitating future edits and updates. Incorporating operational hours or environmental sweeps within specific zones not only supports compliance with building codes but also promotes energy efficiency. Users can tailor each space’s system settings and precisely adjust the High-End Trim levels to prevent oversaturation with minimal effort. Modes such as Occupancy and Vacancy are easily managed, along with partial on/off controls that align with building-specific or regulatory requirements. Demand response capabilities permit lighting load reduction adjustments ranging from 0 to 50%, compliant with Title 24 standards.

The app's functionality extends to creating environment-specific lighting conditions through tunable white schedules that shift color temperature throughout the day. These features can enhance learning environments by boosting mood and focus in classrooms, accelerate recovery times in healthcare settings by simulating natural light patterns, or improve workplace well-being by mimicking outdoor lighting conditions indoors.

User-defined schedules and system configurations can be saved in the form of individual “cards.” These cards serve as consolidated profiles storing custom schedules or settings, which are retained on the iOS device for quick deployment across various spaces. This capability simplifies repetitive adjustments and ensures consistency when applying preferred configurations during building operations.

The intended workflow involves physically inspecting a building with the FineTUNE TCS controls installed. Users should position themselves within approximately 40 feet of the targeted space and utilize the "Blink" function—causing all lights in that zone to flash twice—to verify correct connectivity. Once confirmed, users can confidently select the space and execute any desired configuration actions outlined above.

It is important to note that this app is not designed for initial commissioning or system setup procedures. Instead, it functions solely as an enhancement tool to leverage advanced features or adhere to more rigorous building code requirements. The core system, FineTUNE TCS, is fully operational without this application, which serves as a supplementary interface for optimized management and customization.
